Every DTF job starts with artwork. And most artwork needs work before it's print-ready. That's what PrepOS does.

What PrepOS replaces

Before PressOS, you'd open Photoshop for every file — remove backgrounds, upscale low-res customer uploads, build halftone patterns for white ink, knock out colors. It's tedious and eats hours every day.

PrepOS does all of this in your browser with AI. No plugins, no round-trips, no Photoshop license.

The tools

AI Background Removal

One click removes the background from any image. Uses 256-level alpha masks for clean edges — no pen-tooling required.

AI Upscaling

Customer sent a 72 DPI file? PrepOS upscales 2x–4x while preserving detail. Get print-quality resolution from low-res artwork.

Halftone Generator

Build halftone patterns for white ink underbase. Choose dot shape (round, ellipse, diamond, square), set LPI and angle, control min/max dot size.

Color Knockout

Remove specific colors — white, black, or any sampled color — with adjustable tolerance and feather. Essential for DTF white-ink workflows.

Edge Cleanup

Snap semi-transparent pixels to fully opaque or fully transparent. Eliminates halos and ghosting around edges after background removal.

DPI & Artwork Analysis

Automatic analysis tells you exactly what an image needs — resolution, transparency, dominant background color, color space — before you start working on it.

How it fits the pipeline

Once artwork is prepped in PrepOS, it's ready to:

• Drop into MockOS for placement on blanks
• Flow into GangOS for gang sheet arrangement
• Attach to quotes with proper dimensions

You never re-upload or re-export. The prepped file lives in PressOS and moves forward through the pipeline automatically.
