Setting Up Your Shop

Configure your shop name, branding, pricing profile, and team members in PressOS.

This guide walks you through the initial setup of your PressOS shop — the things you do once to get everything working the way you want.

Step 1: Shop basics

After signing up, go to Settings in your sidebar.

Here you'll set:

  • Shop name — what customers see (e.g., "Ink City DTF")
  • Logo — appears on your storefront, quotes, and invoices
  • Contact info — email, phone, address for customer-facing documents

Step 2: Set up your pricing profile

Go to Pricing in your sidebar. This is where you tell PressOS how to calculate decoration costs.

You'll configure:

  • Material costs — ink per sqin, film per sqin, powder per sqin
  • Labor cost — your time per sqin (or per job)
  • Target margin — what you want to make on top of costs
  • Per-square-inch rate — this is what the system uses to auto-price decorations in quotes

Tip: You can always adjust this later. Start with what feels right and refine as you learn your actual costs.

Step 3: Configure your DTF printer specs

Still in Settings, find your Printer Configuration:

  • Film width — 13", 22", 24", or custom
  • Max sheet length — how long your printer can run
  • Default gap — spacing between transfers on gang sheets

This tells GangOS how to size your gang sheets.

Step 4: Invite your team (optional)

If you have employees or partners, go to Settings → Team and invite them by email.

Team members can:

  • View and manage orders
  • Run production (print, QC, press, ship)
  • Build quotes and mockups
  • Respond to customer messages

On the Pro plan, you get unlimited team members. Free plan includes up to 2.

Step 5: Connect Square (for payments)

Go to Settings → Billing & Plan and connect your Square account.

This enables:

  • Online payment through your storefront
  • Invoice payment links in the customer portal
  • Automatic order creation when payment clears

You're set up!

Your shop is configured. From here you can:

Everything else in PressOS works with these settings — pricing auto-calculates, gang sheets size correctly, and customers see your brand throughout.
